Nurturing Christmas Trees with Care
PLANTING
Our fir trees are planted in loamy and sandy loamy type soil. The sandy soil of our Appalachian mountains gives stronger trees. In the spring, we plant trees that stem from good genetics and have good needle retention.

GROWTH
During the growth phase, we manually trim our fir trees every summer in order to give them a lovely regular conical shape and to increase their density. The trees are all fertilized on a yearly basis. Our practices are environmentally friendly, and we work with the Agro-environmental advisory club in screening for insects.

CUTTING
Fraser fir cutting begins at the end of October, while balsam firs are harvested in early November. One tree at a time, our workers cut the trees using mechanical chainsaws.
WRAPPING AND LOADING
Once the trees are cut, they are quickly and carefully wrapped with a rope wrapper. This fast processing limits air exposure, helps retain needle moisture, and prevents premature drying. The trees are then gently loaded into trucks using mechanical clamps to minimize damage. The short time between cutting, wrapping, and departure ensures maximum freshness and needle retention.
